While the teachers' and school support employees' unions have both adopted a mandate for an unlimited general strike, both organizations can count on the support of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges population.
In fact, according to the in-house poll published last week by Néomédia, when asked "Are you afraid of an unlimited general strike by teachers and support staff in the education network?", 45.5% of respondents said they were behind the unions.
31.8% of readers agreed with the unions' actions, believing them to be the only way to make their voices heard.
However, 13.6% of respondents said they were worried about the services provided to students, and 9.1% feared the consequences a strike could have on their educational progress.
